If you know how to log into accounts on the internet and how to write email, you have all the skills needed to set up and effectively use your Vacation Rentals In The News (VRN) membership. It's easy and fast, working with our partner, Enfeedia.com. Here are the steps once you decide to become a member.

1. (OPTIONAL) Set up a log feed for Autologging

Under benefits of membership, you can learn about Autologging ... what it is, and why it's important to you. We recommend you use Autologging to get the maximum benefits of your membership. If you do not wish to use Autologging, proceed to step 2 below.

If you do not already have an Enfeedia account, visit www.enfeedia.com to set up a "Publisher" account (or higher) and to set up a feed to be used as your log feed for Autologging. You can get guided instructions at www.enfeedia.com/start-instructions.html. If you already have an Enfeedia account, simply log into it.

Once logged in to your Enfeedia account, you set up a feed to be your log feed by assigning to it an Editor Password. To do that, select "Set Up Feeds", then either "Add a Feed" or "Edit the Feed" depending on whether or not you already have a feed you want to use for this purpose. In either case, select "Advanced Mode" for date entry purposes.

The next window will include a form to enter the Editor Password. Complete the form and submit it. And of course write down and save that password.

Please note that your log feed need not have any items posted to it; VRN will post items to your log feed when you post items onto the homesandspecials feed.

2. Request a VRN membership

Click the VRN "Sign Me Up" button to request membership in VRN. You will be asked to specify an Account Name for your VRN account and an Account Password, and to provide us your real name, email address, day-time phone number, and the URL for your website.

All requests for membership are reviewed by staff for appropriateness and suitability for the VRN system. Please review Requirements for Membership to make sure you qualify. We will place a limit (to be determined) on the number of memberships in VRN as well as the number of memberships in vacation destination markets. Although items for all members will be presented in the homesandspecials feed, VRN reserves the right to limit the number of items displayed on VRN's home page so as to ensure performance of the website. VRN makes no claims or guarantees as to results accrued to members. Members agree to hold VRN harmless regarding any results, perceived or factual. All membeship decisions are at our sole discretion. Your request for membership signifies your agreement with these terms.

3. Receive membership approval notification from VRN

Once we receive and approve your application, we will initialize your "member item spot" on our homesandspecials feed for you. We will notify you when this action is completed.

4. Post your first item onto the homesandspecials feed

Once you receive word from us that your membership is approved, you will be able to log into our VRN account at Enfeedia.com as a "freelancer" using our account name ("vacationrentals") and your VRN account password as the Freelance Password. You will then be able to post a vacation rental news item on your dedicated "member item spot" on our homesandspecials feed. Remember, you post your items on our feed using the Enfeedia News Feed Puublisher website, not at this site.
