How to Get Alerts...

Rather than needing to remember to check back to this website to hunt down newly posted items, why not set up one or more pings or alerts? You can be notified whenever a new item is posted without having to even open this website. And not miss out on news.

It's easy. You can select from two methods: Pings and Alerts. Thge recommended method is using pings because of the simplicity of registering for ping email, and because you need not have an account of any kind to receive ping email. Alerts are provided by Yahoo and require a Yahoo account.

Pings

To register for pings, click the Set Up Pings link located in the link strip across the top of any NewsPage. A page will be opened for you to register your email address; complete instructions are provided. You can also register for pings by clicking the enfeedia news feed reader icon wherever you see it.

Alerts

For alerts, just click the Create an Alert link associated with the feed for which you would like an alert. (You will find that link also at the top of any NewsPage that you enter by clicking a enfeedia news feed reader icon.) You will be taken to a Yahoo page where, with a few clicks, you can set up alerts to be sent to an email address or addresses you registered with your Yahoo account. You can even choose to have an alert sent to your cell phone. If you are not already signed into your Yahoo account, you will be asked to do so. Return to this website by repeatedly using your browser "back" or "return" button. You can set up as many alerts as you want.

If you do not already have a Yahoo account, you will be given the opportunity to do so prior to setting up your first alert. It's also easy. If you want to set up your Yahoo account before clicking the Create an Alert link, go to the Yahoo sign-up page and follow their instructions. You will specify a Yahoo ID, password, and "alternate" email address; use any existing email address you have for your Yahoo alternate email address so that alerts are sent to your existing email account. You will be asked to verify your email address as is commonly the case when setting up new accounts.
