How to Use AutoLoggingIn the process of posting your item onto InTheNews, you will be given the option to simultaneously and automatically "log" your item as-is onto another feed for which you have access privileges. Typically, that other feed is one you created in an Enfeedia account of your own. But it could be a feed in someone else's account for which they gave you access. How is access gained? By having the Editor Password for that feed. The owner of the account -- perhaps you -- assigns an Editor Password to the feed for this purpose. When you post an item onto InTheNews, you use that Editor Password along with the Account Name and Feed Name to which you wish to log your posting. If you choose to log an item, the title for the item that's posted on InTheNews will link to your log feed, and the title of that logged item will link to the webpage address you entered as Item Link. Thus, using Autologging, a curious visitor that clicks on your featured posting on InTheNews will then see your listing of all featured postings. You need not log every item when you post on InTheNews, it's your choice. There is no VRN membership requirement to use Autologging or to have an account of your own on Enfeedia. Should you want to use Autologging, the "Publisher" membership is required at Enfeedia to create a feed which includes the Editor posting feature. VRN uses the Editor feature to gain permission for posting items onto that feed. |
